• WRS Discount for Farallon Quartet

  • In-Person Meetings Return!

    We are happy to announce that in-person meetings are returning on April 16 and May 21 at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church at 4201 Albemarle St, NW, Washington DC 20016. Street parking is available free on weekends, and there is also a church parking lot on Butterworth Pl NW. If you park in this lot, you will need to walk around the block to get to the entrance on Albemarle St. The nearest Metro stop is Tenleytown on the Red Line, a block from the church. 

    We will gather at 10:00 am for a “meet and greet” and then the playing session will start at 10:30 am, ably led by David McGown and Adéla Balima. Please bring a music stand and instruments. You may also bring water or snacks, but no food will be provided or shared. There is a drinking fountain. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

    For everyone’s comfort and safety, please abide by the following rules:

    • Be vaccinated against COVID-19
    • Be free of COVID-19 symptoms and do not come if you are not feeling well
    • Have no recent exposure to individuals known to be infected with COVID-19
    • Play only your own instruments during WRS meetings.

    Now is the time to register for the April WRS meeting online with Rainer Beckmann from the Philadelphia. He is back for another stimulating and informative session to tell us about Instrumental and Vocal music from the 16th and 17th Centuries.
