Mon, Jan 27, 7:30pm. Virtual session with Jennifer Carpenter
Play in the virtual session led by Jennifer Carpenter, recorder player, music historian and teacher. She performs regularly as a soloist and in ensembles, in Colorado and Texas. About the session she says: “The breath of winter holds a hushed enchantment, a captivating stillness.” Scenes of winter and its revelries captivated many Renaissance poets and composers, including Weelkes, Campion, Byrd, and others. We’ll focus on how we use our breath as both an intimate connection to the instrument and to the character of the poetry expressed through music.
Meet and greet starts at 7pm, and the session at 7:30pm. Please register here to participate in this session
